Yes I am still around.
I’ve acomplished a few things too, just havent been blogging it all as have been busy.
17 - Grow a winter vegetable garden.
I’ve started on this. Planted some cabbages, bok choy, winter lettuce and broccoli. need to lat more before have finished but its a start.
35 - Remove all items of clothing from my wardrobe that haven’t been worn in over a year, that are too big or way too small. Bag up items that you will grow down into over time and label and store.
This was libearting and boy oh boy is my room heaps cleaner!
this is also done
36 - Co-ordinate wardrobe into a neat and organised manner.
41 - Declutter garage and freecycle any unwanted items then donate the rest.
Doing the gagrge was great. Its given us a whole other room! Plus now I can get to all my gardening stuff easier, the kids can get to their bikes easier and its just way more organised!
66 - Buy a bike.
Its on laybuy! Will post pics once I pick it up.
94 - Do ‘dates’ with Joey once a fortnight (2/70)
super slack with this ad we need to make more effort. with work and the kids it just gets hard.
Last night we went to the movies at the jam factory and then had a bite to eat at veg to go? I think it was called? Pity I have gastro!

I have made a few changes to some thing on my list.
Things like drink a litre of water every day for the duration to for one month and some others the same. Since after one month of doing most of these things new habits have been formed and its a bit tedious updating the things that I now just do.

This means I have started number 5 also
5 - Lose another 5 kilos (.2/5)
58 - Read and finish a book once every 2 months (1/17)
read the original bridget jones diary, wasn’t too bad in the end, a bit different to the movie, dragged on in bits and hard to read without hearing RenĂ©e Zellweger’s voice in your head!
62 - Drink 1 litre of water every day for a month
65 - Drink no alcohol at all for one month.
I did it!! hence the weight loss! I had drinks last night with friends but am going to do another month because I feel so bloody good!
67 - Lose 20 cms from my waist. (6/20)

as i am trired but really want to update and do my weekly menu plan before the day is out.
I’m going fabulously with my alcohol free month!
The dogs being walked more regularly.
Still drinking my water.
Still doing the thousand steps.
Have been excercising 5 times aweek too.
I’ve been walking the kids to school and back most days and they have been on time every day so far!
I entered another photo compeition too.
I also started this one
55 - Cook or bake something with the kids help once a month (1/33)
Today after school jaime and I baked blueberry muffins. They have already all been almost eaten too, they were yum!
I completed a task too!
15 - Set up a second worm farm.
I set this up on the wekend. I got one a while ago through freecycle so cleaned it out and got it going. We had enough worms in our other farm to split them in half so we can now recycle more waste and get more vermicast for the garden!
Now for my menu plan:
- Kangaroo meat shepherds pie
- Chicken wingettes on the bbq and salads
- roast lamb
- red lentil curry
- Quiche and chips/salad
- Chops and vegies

Hi to anyone out there in net land reading/following this
I’m still here! We just finished school holidays and we also spent 8 days down at the beach hence why I haven’t updated for a bit!
Firstly the biggest news for this month is I am participating in Feb Fast
http://www.everydayhero.com.au/Susan_Darcy
This relates to my #65 - Drink no alcohol at all for one month.
So 1 day in so far!
I’m now down 4cms in my waist measurement.
I’ve lost 2.9 kilos this month.
4 - Cook a new recipe every week for 3 months straight. (1/13)
I have started this.
This weeks new recipe was a Jaime Oliver one from his cooking show.
It was lamb kebabs made with yummy spices and pistachio nuts.
8 - Quit smoking completely (no social smoking)
Since I am not drinking its the perfect opportunity to pursue this challenge
Menu Planning:
I’ve done this each week but hadnt recorded it as I wasn’t online at the time due to holidays.
Scored another off the list:
88 - Take kids to a berry picking farm.
While away we made a trip to Sunnyside Strawberry farm.
It was lots of fun and the strawberries were YUMMY!

Been busy and well to be honest if I am going to keep this up for 1001 days I know I can’t post every day!
I’ve been doing the thousands steps so am on my way to achieving doing it three times a week for 3 months. We are away on holidays next week so I’ll either add an extra week on or make sure I do similar hard walks whilst away (plenty of spots wiht good hard walks)
57 - Walk the dog 3 times a week or make sure someone does (2/323)
We finally started wlaking the dog. I walked her yesterday and joey walked her today. She seems happy about it all!
40 - Completely de-clutter and sort home office.
I’ve started this. We really need to do our 06/07 tax returns too! I took before photos, they are SHOCKING! I’ll show them once the office is complete
7 - Do some form of excercise 5 times a week (14/705)
I’ve done something almost every day. Doing the steps 3 times a week has helped but I’ve also been riding the bike and going for walks and had 2 swims.
18 - Menu plan 5 out of 7 meals each week (3/141)
Menu planning has been going quite well. It helps when doing the shopping list thats for sure and we have eaten much less take away.
Week 3 Menu Plan:
- Spaghetti bolognaise
- Lentil shepherds pie
- Bitsa curry (a curry where I just chuck anything in)
- chops/bbq/salad
- thai beef salad (chicken wings and salad for kids)
Also I lost another cm off my waist! I didnt weigh this week as I have my period so didn’t want to know!

3 - Do the thousands steps 2 times a row.
I did this this morning!
Boy was it hard work and I was dripping with sweat and so tired but I did it! Today I climbed the 1000 steps TWICE in a row
On my way to completing my goal of doing the steps 3 times a week for 3 months too!
39 - Hire a cleaner.
This one was needed for my sanity and so I can work and balance everything a bit better! We ended up hiring a friend who is a mum. She’ll be coming once a week, hopefully Mondays or Fridays, not sure which day is best yet? wdyt?
67 - Lose 20 cms from my waist. (1/20)
Only 1cm down so far but hey its a start!
18 - Menu plan 5 out of 7 meals each week (2/141)
OK so onto week 2 for MENU PLANNING!
Last week it certainly helped. We didn’t stick entirely to it but we ate i think 4 of the 5 meals planned.
This weeks 5 meals are:
- Pita pizzas
- Lentil shepherds pie
- Vegie skewers and salad
- Fresh fish and vegies.
- Vegetable thai green curry
OK my first failed task!
57 - Walk the dog 3 times a week or make sure someone does
she hasn’t been taken once yet! Poor thing!
22 - Take and use green bags for shopping every week
I ALWAYS forget! I must put them in the car!

OK I am just going to do this! I need to! I know at the end of the 1001 one days I will NOT look like this anymore.
So here’s me

I look terrible I know! LOL
It was 38 degrees and I had just climbed the 1000 steps!
Ths means I have also started my climb the thusand steps 3 times a week for 3 months task!

So this pertains to my weight loss tasks. My excercise and self improvement.
There you go its out there!
Had a yummy vegetarian meal of mushroom/capsicum and tomato stir fry and home made vegie patties (used tomatoes, zuchini and potatoes from the garden)
